Star Wars’next TV show,Andorseason 2, is just around the corner, and I’m more convinced than ever thatLeia Organawill be in the show.Andorseason 2is releasing on April 22nd, 2025, andAndorseason 2’s place in theStar Warstimelinemeans it will end just before the beginning ofRogue One: A Star Wars Story. This timing means that a whole host of characters from the original trilogy and other shows could have cameos.
SeveralRogue Onecharacterswho were not inAndorseason 1 have been confirmed to be appearing in season 2, such as Director Krennic and K-2SO. However, there’s plenty of speculation about who else could be making an appearance, not only fromRogue Onebut also from otherStar Warsshows and movies. Based on certain aspects oftheStar Warstimelineand hints theAndorseason 2 trailer dropped,I’m convinced Leia will be among those characters.

3Princess Leia Joined The Senate During The Andor Season 2 Era… & Worked With Mon Mothma
Leia Fits Perfectly Into This Timeline
One of the most compelling reasons I believe Leia will have an appearance inAndorseason 2 is the importance of not only her but also her parents during this time. AsA New HopeandStar Wars Rebelsrevealed, Leia was very involved in the Rebel efforts from a young age, including at this time. In fact,in addition to her participation in the Rebellion, Leia also began working in the Senate during this era.
All the more convincing,Leia was working with Mon Mothma in the Senate at this time. Mon Mothma has become a key figure inAndor, with a full arc of her own opposite Cassian Andor’s. She’s already been featured in theAndorseason 2 traileras well, so it’s clear her pivotal role will continue.

It makes plenty of sense, then, that Leia would have an appearance alongside Mon Mothma inAndorseason 2. This would be particularly wise onStar Wars’part because it creates continuity with other recentStar Warsshows, especially followingAhsoka, which reminded audiences of the close relationship between Leia and Mon Mothma. It would strengthen that story to show their relationship during this era (and it would also simply be delightful to see Leia on screen once again).
2Princess Leia & Her Parents Played A Key Role In Bringing Rebel Cells Together
Their Absence Would Feel A Bit Odd, For Several Reasons
As mentioned, it wasn’t just Leia who was heavily involved in the Senate and with the Rebellion at that time.Leia’s parents, particularly Bail Organa, had long been doing this work as well. In fact, Bail had a long-running relationship with Mon Mothma, beginning during the prequel trilogy era. Sadly, scenes between the two, showing their work to establish the Rebellion together, were amongStar Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith’sdeleted scenes.
Bail had a long-running relationship with Mon Mothma, beginning during the prequel trilogy era.
Even with that change, though, it’s well established that Bail and Mon Mothma worked closely together to maintain some resistance in the Senate during the Dark Times. Leia and her parents specifically helped to bring Rebel cells together at this time as well, making it feel all the more likely they (or at least Leia) will have a cameo in this season of the show. GivenAndorseason 2 will run right intoRogue One, it would make sense for Rebel cells to be brought together over the course of this season, therefore increasing the likelihood Leia appears.
1Leia Knew About The Dantooine Base
This Star Wars Planet May Be Making An Appearance
One of the most surprising hints that Leia is making an appearance inAndorseason 2 involves the mysteriousStar Warsplanet, Dantooine. InA New Hope, Leia made a reference to Dantooine, specifically when Grand Moff Tarkin was demanding answers about the location of the Rebels’ base. In the nearly 50 years since that reference, though,Dantooine has never been shown on screen in live actionin any ofStar Wars’movies and TV shows.
I’m Convinced Star Wars Is Finally About To Show A Planet That’s Been Teased For 48 Years
After 48 years, I think Star Wars is finally ready to show one of the Rebel Alliance’s most important planets on screen for the very first time.
The planet has been shown in animation though, including in the showStar Wars Resistanceand in some video games. Based on those appearances, it actually seems as though Dantooine is shown in theAndorseason 2 trailer. In the trailer, an unidentified planet is shown multiple times, with plains and round buildings in the background.
It actually seems as though Dantooine is shown in theAndorseason 2 trailer.
These images are a dead ringer for Dantooine in the animated appearances the planet has had so far. If this is indeed Dantooine, as it seems to be, then it only feels all the more likely that Leia will be shown on screen, given this is the very planet she mentions inA New Hope. I, for one, am really hoping these theories and the rumors are true andLeia Organawill be returning to theStar Warsscreen inAndorseason 2.
