Below Deckhas had some of the most interesting cast members throughout their spin-offs, and while some members deserved villain status, many hid their true colors so wellthat it was impossible to see their pretentious traits. On the Bravo network, the battle between good and evil has always been epic, with villains being showcased in everyBelow Deckfranchise. Therefore, moments of drama between the crew are always anticipated. The show has had some of the worst villains, from Kyle Viljoen, featured onBelow Deck Mediterraneanseasons 7 and 8, to the problematic Gary King.

Gary is still the most controversial participantBelow Deckhas ever seen. When he was first introduced to theBelow Deckuniverse, it was clear that he was quite a ladies' man. Over time,Gary has failed to respect boundaries when interacting with fellow femalecrew members. InBelow Deck Sailing Yachtseason 4, she flirted with Daisy Keilliher despite her constant requests to stop, since she is romantically involved with Colin MacRae. Another participant, Lexi Wilson, appeared onBelow Deck Mediterraneanseason 6 and became one of the worst members of the yacht.

She should have signed up forBad Girls Cluband notBelow Deck. At one point, Lexi got intoxicated and talked rudely to Chief Stew and Bosun Malia White. She was ultimately fired for her verbal abuse. Later, Lexi called outBelow Deckproducers for bad edits, claiming she should have gotten a raise for being the star that season. While someBelow Deckparticipants' villain statuses were evident, others weren’t. Their conduct was contrived, making it hard to point out some red flags in their actions.

10Hannah Ferrier

She Didn’t Get Along With Captain Sandy

It is not a secret that Hannah Ferrier and Captain Sandy Yawn weren’t so friendly towards each other. The first time the two butted heads was inBelow Deck Mediterraneanseason 2. However, whenCaptain Sandy fired Hannah in season 5for having undeclared drugs, things got really bad. Hannah had a charismatic personality on the show, which made it hard to dislike her. She had all the characteristics of a villain buttried to seem like a hardworking and relatable person.

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

Hannah found herself in conflict with Malia, who was the bosun. She also didn’t see eye to eye with Captain Sandy about how things were run on the boat. During her second season of working with Captain Sandy,Hannah’s relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Conrad Empson, created problems onboard. The women argued after Hannah left with the charter guests. She’d skipped work the previous day due to a panic attack. TheBelow Deckalum’slaid-back approach to fully committing to her job sometimes showed a disregardfor authority. Sometimes, she didn’t bother adhering to the type of professionalism Captain Sandy wanted.

Below Deck’s Kate Chastain looks serious and Chef Ben Robinson smiles slightly.

9Ben Robinson

Below Deck Medalum Ben Robinson was on and off the franchise for over six years. When he joinedBelow Deck, Ben always locked horns with Hannah. He was also insensitive, and his temper in the galley was, at times, hard to watch. Ben came off as condescending and wanted to prove that he was a chef by his own merit and not because of his father. Ben’s dad,Patrick Robinson, is an established British novelistand is a New York Times #1 best-selling author - he co-wroteLone Survivor.

His level of stress management wasn’t the best, which was evident when he clashed with Hannah and Kate Chastain. Theirconflicts revolved around kitchen and service coordination, whereby Ben’s impatience and high standards sometimes came off as abrasive. Had this tension been highlighted well byBelow Deck Medproducers, it would have painted Ben as an antagonist, thus creating a different dynamic with the other crew members.

8Adrian Martin

He Was Calm

WhenAdrian Martin was featured onBelow Deckseason 6, he presented a calm and collected demeanor, making him one of the easiest chefs to work with.Below Deckchefs have proven to be challenging to work with over time, but Adrian was different. He was calm andpracticed yoga daily in his roombefore continuing his daily activities. He quickly became a pro, impressing Chief Stew Kate and Captain Lee Rosbach. The crew also fell in love with his cuisine and Zen attitude, making him a favorite among crew members and guests. However, he had his flaws.

ThisBelow Deckreality staroften made inappropriate remarks towards Laura Betancourt. Most of the sexually insensitive things that Adrian said as the charter season was winding up made Laura uncomfortable despite her attempts to brush them off. Adrian later said that he thought Laura understood he was only joking, and further explained that talking about sex was quite common in his Caribbean hometown. Although Adrian might not have wanted to hurt Laura intentionally, he should have been smart enough to read her energy, which would have made him stop making those comments.

Ross McHarg from Below Deck Season 10 montage looking confused

7Elizabeth Frankini

She Seemed To Live In An Alternate Universe

Elizabeth Frankini was a mermaid at heart when she joinedBelow Deck, as she had a knack for life at sea. However, things quickly changed, leaving Elizabeth in the wrong. She didn’t get along with her boss, Chief Stew Francesca Rubi, due to her lack of ethics and work experience.Elizabeth’sBelow Deckseason 8 firing wasn’t shocking, considering she and deckhand James had slept in the guest cabin without permission. This came after she constantly failed to perform her tasks well.

AlthoughBelow Deckviewers had seen Elizabeth tangle with her boss more than once, leaving both in tears at one point, there were too many slip-ups from Elizabeth’s side. Her constant clashes with Francesca were enoughto earn her villain status. Her frequent run-ins with Francesca were framed as a misunderstanding, whereas, in most cases, Elizabeth failed to understand her roles and refused to take accountability. Her flirtatious fling with James caused chaos in the team, and her failure to prioritize work is what got Elizabeth fired in the first place.

6Ross McHarg

He Was Flirtatious

Ross McHarg was a bosun inBelow Deckseason 10 and caused a lot of drama during his stint. A couple of Ross' traits didn’t align with his heroic side. Ross was flirtatious with some of the crew members, whom he strung along during the show. The bosun was involved in a boatmance with Katie Glaser. However, their relationship wasn’t exactly smooth sailing. At one point, when they went out,Katie got jealous after she saw him flirting withsteward Alissa Humber.

Throughout the season,Katie and Ross had many arguments regarding their relationship.During their disagreements, Ross was known for gaslighting and manipulating Katie. When confessing his love for Katie in a confessional, Ross said he loved playing the field, noting that the “field is fun” as it has “long grass.” His confession of love for Katie was a red flag after such remarks. However, there was another way Below Deckproducers would have portrayed his flirtatious nature - as manipulative and a way to boost his ego.

5Xandi Olivier

She Criticized Barbie Pascual A lot

Xandi Olivier was among the most reliable stewsonBelow Deckseason 11. Her professionalism was impressive, and she had an incredible relationship with most crew members. Xandi proved how good she was after being promoted to Chief Stew Fraser Olender’s second in command. Despite having the least drama,Xandi didn’t get along with Barbie Pascualthroughout the charter season. In one instance, Xandi showed how much she didn’t value Barbie’s work, although she had stayed out of Barbie’s and Fraser’s drama.

Fraser didn’t like Barbie’s work ethic since she sometimes controlled her fellow costars. Xandi and Fraser later seemed to gang up on Barbie after leaving her to do most of the crew work alone. When some charter guests decided they wanted a beach excursion, Xandi and Fraser went, leaving Barbie behind to handle the learning. Later, they criticized her inability to do things alone, which didn’t make sense. Xandi started a vendetta against Barbie, which showed how cruel and inconsiderate the South African native was.

4Bugsy Drake

She Was Captain Sandy’s Favorite Chef Stew

Bugsy Drake first worked under Hannah inBelow Deck Medseason 2, whereshe showcased her tablescaping skills.Later, she returned toBelow Deck Medseason 5, where Bugsy took over as Chief Stewardess following Hannah’s firing. Previously, Hannah and Bugsy never really got along. InBelow Deck Med, Bugsy called Hannah a “lousy” chef. Therefore, it isn’t surprising that Bugsby takes Captain Sandy’s side during her beef with Hannah. While speaking toUS Weekly, Bugsy defended Captain Sandy, stating that Hannah’s and Captain Sandy’s conflict was taken out of context, adding that Sandy didn’t mean it maliciously.

Captain Sandy and Hannah were trading jabs publicly when Captain Sandy said that the chief stew’s role was only someone who “waits tables.”

Below Deck Poster

Bugsy might have been on Captain Sandy’s side since she got some favors from her. Captain Sandy was impressed by Bugsy’s table skills since her reasons were top-notch. It seemed likeSandy had suffered while enduring Hannah’s uninspiring table decorationsfor four seasons. Therefore, Bugsy’s close relationship with Captain Sandy could have added a layer of favoritism throughoutBelow Deck Med. That might have made Bugsy Captain Sandy’s right hand, which she could have used to undermine crew members who didn’t meet her standards.

Hannah’s Boy

Bosun Conrad Empson fromBelow Deck Medseason 3 claimed fame through his relationship with Hannah, which caused quite a stir. Their relationship was filled with highs and lows, and their budding romance created a lot of tension on board, undermining the work ethic with which Captain Sandy got involved. There were moments whenConrad’s decisions didn’t align with Captain Sandy’s expectations. Conrad did confront Captain Sandy, asking why communication between them had deteriorated.

Captain Sandy told him the only thing that annoyed her was his relationship with Hannah. She even asked him to choose between being a bosun or “Hannah’s boy” (viaBravo). Whenever Captain Sandy asked Conrad about Hannah’s situation, or anytime he hadn’t done his designated duties correctly,he would either push back or defend himself aggressively. This turned into a potential power struggle, adding to his rebellious nature.

2David White

He Handled His Situation With Natasha Badly

Below Deck Medseason 7 star David White had years of cooking experience, and his time on the show wasn’t his first time working as a yacht chef. During a night out, Dave got jealous afterwatching Natasha mingle with a couple of men. Dave revealed that Natasha had cheated on her boyfriend with him, and he wanted to be exclusive with her.

Their problems deepened whenDave sent inappropriate texts to Natasha, who wanted to hide their engagement. Natasha later revealed she felt suffocated by the chef. Dave was so obsessed with Natasha that he demanded to know her whereabouts. Their turbulent relationship and frequent arguments disabled the crew, thus affecting their morale. It also put the otherBelow Deck Medstars in an uncomfortable situation. Dave’s frustrations, at times, led to harsh remarks, which made it impossible for the crew to work harmoniously.

1Paget Berry

He Was In Conflict With Parker

Below Deck Sailing Yachtalum Paget Berry was the First Officer of Captain Glenn’sParsifal III. Although he was good-looking and had an incredible personality,Paget couldn’t get along with his workmates. Together with Deckhand Ciara Duggan, they bullied and became critical of Deckhand Parker McCown. Before Parker quit, he and Paget had a lot of back and forth due to his attitude.

Paget felt that Parker never paid attention to his constructive criticism, but looking at it, Paget didn’t always use the right approach to pass the message. Parker brought a laid-back attitude to the team, which Paget felt put her at odds with the authorities. Paget conveyed that Parker’s attitude was a liability to everyone’s productivity. Even though Parker had an attitude problem, Paget wasn’t fond of him either. That could have influenced how thisBelow Deckcast member viewed Parker’s work ethicand judged him harshly.
